Members from US Young Researchers Invitation Program visited CIGS

The Japan Foundation is Japan's only institution dedicated to carrying out comprehensive international cultural exchange programs throughout the world. It has organized "KAKEHASHI Project - The Bridge for Tomorrow -." US Young Researchers Invitation Program is part of this project, in which young researchers from US were invited to Japan and visited to selected places and destinations. CIGS was selected as an institution to visit. 9 young researchers from 5 institutions of US visited CIGS and held a meeting on November 17, 2014. From CIGS, Mr. Kotegawa, Research Director, Mr. Jimbo, Senior Research Fellow, and Mr. Ito, Research Fellow, joined the meeting. They explained some topics to the visitors and had a lively discussion on various areas such as the recent development of Japanese economy and employment, the trend of Japanese firms, foreign affairs, national security and Japan-Korea relations.
